Dr. Arsalan Ansari

Dr. Arsalan Ansari received his Doctorate from Hanyang University, South Korea in the field of Power Electronics in 2016 and B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Pakistan, in 2011. Currently, He is working as Chairperson/Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. During his PhD, he has worked with Willings, Korea and Ejins companies for different projects including Bidirectional DC-DC Converter for Electric Vehicle. He has also conducted various seminars for Samsung Electronics.
After completing his PhD, he was appointed as Assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Isra University, Hyderabad for 01 Year. He has also worked as Lecturer in the Department of Electronic Engineering at MUET, SZAB Campus Khairpur Mir’s for almost 02 Years.
His current research interests include multilevel inverters and grid-connected renewable energy systems. He has more than 07 research articles at his credit.
Dr. Ansari was a recipient of the Scholarship for the Integrated Master and Ph.D. Program by the Government of Pakistan. He was also a medalist among his engineering batch.

Dr. Ramesh Kumar

Dr. Ramesh Kumar received Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Pakistan, in 2006, completed MS in Electronic, Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering from Hanyang University, Ansan, South Korea, in 2010. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2017. During his Ph.D. tenure, he worked on several research projects in collaboration with renowned Korean research institutes and produced impact factor journal papers. He had vast experience in academia, industry, and research. Currently, he is Assistant Professor in Electronic Engineering Department at Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. His research interests include Mathematical modeling and simulation of mobile communication systems, cooperative relaying techniques, Multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) antenna technology, 5G Mobile Communication Networks, smart grid networks, and delay tolerant networks.

Prof. Engr. Rashid Baig

Prof. Engr. Rashid Baig is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering. He had also been worked in KANUAPP. He had vast experience of teaching and had also worked with ZT telecom company in conducting various certification (GSM) courses. He had done his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. He had also done His Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Western Michigan University, USA and Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Western Michigan University, USA. His PhD (Inc) is in progress in the field of Pattern Recognition using Tiling network from Western Michigan University, USA. He had various publications in the field of Neuro Computing, Fuzzy Control System, Pattern Recognition in international journals.

Engr. Shahid Iqbal

Assistant Professor


He is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering. He has done his MS (Telecommunication Engineering) from BIZTEK University. He completed his BS from NED University Karachi in Electronic Engineering. Currently, he is pursing PhD degree from Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.

Engr. Dilip Kumar A. Ramnani

Engr. Dilip Kumar completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from MUET Jamshoro in 2003 and Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from NEDUET Karachi in 2007. He started his professional career as Visiting Lecturer in department of Electronic Engineering Dawood University of Engineering and Technology Karachi in July 2003. In May 2004 he was appointed as Lecturer on Regular Basis, in September 2009 he was promoted from Lecturer to Assistant Professor (BPS-19) in the Department of Electronic Engineering and continuing with the same post till today. During his teaching career of fifteen years (up till now) he has taught various subjects from first semester to final semester. He has been supervising Final Year Projects. Administratively, he is in charge Industrial Electronic Lab, Member Board of Studies, Quality Enhancement Cell, HEC Curriculums Committee. He has remained member of Academic Council. He is Life time member (Professional Engineer) of Pakistan Engineering Council. He is pursuing his PhD in Embedded Systems from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro. Research work on some publication is in progress and likely to be published in due course of time.

Dr. Engr. Dost Muhammad Saqib Bhatti

Dr. Bhatti is working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Telecommunication Engineering, Dawood University of Engineering and Technology Karachi. He received his Bachelors of Engineering degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro Pakistan in 2011 and Ms-Ph.D. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea in 2017. He has worked in Huawei for 1 year as a Team Lead on CMPAK project for 3G/4G swap. During his stay at Hanyang University, he has worked on various research projects. He has wide experience of teaching, industry and research. Dr. Bhatti’s research interests are in modeling, designing and performance analysis of wireless communication system with current emphasis on spectrum sensing, fuzzy logic, multidimensional scaling, cognitive Radio Networks and Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA).

Engr. Abdul Aziz Naich

Engr. Abdul Aziz Naich completed his Bachelors’ degree in Electronic Engineering in 1987 from Dawood College of Engineering & Technology, Karachi affiliated with NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. He started his professional career as Lecturer in the Department of Electronic Engineering in Dawood College of Engineering & Technology, Karachi (now Dawood University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi) in December 1989. His areas of interests are Electronic Devices & Circuits.

Engr. Muhammad Shahid completed his Bachelors’ degree in Electronic Engineering in January 2006 from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi and Masters’ degree in Industrial Control & Automation in 2017 from Usman Institute of Technology. He started his professional career as Lecturer in the Department of Electronic Engineering in Dawood College of Engineering & Technology, Karachi (now Dawood University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi) in October 2006. He is now pursuing his Ph.D in Electronic Engineering from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. His areas of interests are Control Systems, Electromagnetic Fields & Power Electronics.

Engr. Muhammad Ahsan Riaz

Engr. Muhammad Ahsan Riaz working as a Lecturer in the Department of Electronic Engineering. He had worked in the Mobiserve Telecom. He had done Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering and Masters of Engineering in the field of Electronic Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. He had 10 years’ experience of teaching. He had taught various i.e. Micro-Electromechanical Systems, Neural Network, Fuzzy Control system, Digital Control System, Microprocessor Based systems. His specialization areas are Micro-Electromechanical systems, Fuzzy Control Systems, Embedded system design. He had worked on various CNC machine to help the students in their Final Year project.

Engr. Irshad Muhammad

Engr Irshad Muhammad has been working as a lecturer in the Department of the Electronic Engineering. He had done his B.E in Electronic Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. He has been doing his MS degree in Electronic Engineering specialization in Electronic System Engineering. His areas of research are wireless communication, singular value decomposition, instrumentation and control systems. He has various responsibility assigned by the department. He is examination coordinator for the department.

Engr. M. Ismail

Engr. M. Ismail is currently working as Lecture Department of Electronic Engineering, Dawood University of Engineering & Technology Karachi. Earned B.E (Electronic Engineering from Dawood College of Engineering & Technology in 2009 and M.E (Electronic Engineering) From NED University in 2014. PhD is in progress from Hamdard University Karachi. Served in both Public and Private Sector Universities in Karachi and took part in Research & Development Projects with industrial and noncommercial organizations. Serving DUET since 2012, now being as member/ Secretory Board of Studies in Department of Electronic Engineering working for Development of curriculum for B.E, to run into current & future completion in job market and R&D organizations. In 2015 did an industrial project for DUET, with SYNERGY Corporation Limited Pakistan. Currently working on two projects with Government organization and one with the collaboration of leading Medical institutes in Karachi. His core area of working is embedded systems.

Engr. Dinar Khowaja

Engr. Dinar Khowaja had obtained her B.E in Electronics from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro in 2011, with 3.8 CGPA. In 2014, she had earned the degree of M.E in Electronic System Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology with 3.77 CGPA. She has rendered her services as a Lecturer at DHA SUFFA University Karachi. Her Research interest include Machine Learning, Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence.

Engr. Altaf Ahmed appointed from September 2012 as Lab Engineer in the Department of Electronic Engineering. He has taught and conducted labs of Bioelectronic and Instrumentation measurement (BEIM), Instrumentation and Measurement, Wave Propagation and Antenna System Design (WPASD), Digital Logic Design (DLD), Computer Aided Engineering Design (CAED), Optoelectronics and theory class of CAED.

Engr.Maqsood Ur Rehman

Engr. Maqsood Ur Rehman completed his bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering in 2009 and Masters’ degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems in 2017. He is now pursuing his Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from DUET, Karachi. He started his professional career as Assistant Engineer in Textile Fort (pvt) Ltd; Karachi in November 2009 with the responsibilities of troubleshooting faults in machines / inverters of different models, repairing different electronics cards and supervising Electronics Department. Afterwards in November 2013 he joined a company Artistic Denim Mills here his responsibilities were; Maintenance of all types of I&C instruments like transmitters, thermocouples and RTD’s. repairing and Troubleshooting of Power Supplies, VFD / Inverters and PLC Drives/Modules, also Involved in technical review of instrument drawings and instrument location plans, Testing, evaluating, modifying and calibrating products/instruments, Calibration and maintenance of DC Drives along with Preparation of Documents & Technical Submittal.
He joined Department of Electronic Engineering, Dawood University of Engineering and Technology Karachi in March 2015 as Lab. Engineer and here responsibilities are, to design and conduct laboratory exercise as per departmental requirements, management of lab equipment and consumables, Preparation and grading of laboratory and other exams along with prepare two consecutive SAR report as a PT Member, Quality Enhancement Cell (Aug 2015 – December 2017).

ENGR. MUSTAFA MOHIUDDIN

Engr. Mustafa Mohiuddin working as Lab Engineer in the Department of Electronic Engineering at the Dawood University of Engineering & Technology. He passed B.E Electronics from Dawood University of Engineering & Technology with high profile marks and got 2nd Position (Silver Medal). After completed his graduation he worked as Electronic Service Engineer in Digitronics (pvt) Limited. His industrial experience also included the design and automation of Tile Batch Process installation of Solar panel and charger controller. He passed M.E in Industrial Electronics from NED University of Engineering & Technology. His primary research interests are Industrial Automation & Robotics, Power generation, Maintenance and Repairing, Instrumentation, PLC, DCS and SCADA, Internet of Things and Embedded System Designs.

Engr. Syed Waqar Alam

Engr. Syed Waqar Alam completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering in 2013-14 from Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. He started his professional career as Technical Support Executive in Elixir Flare, a U.S based network service provider company in 2014 with the responsibility to deploy network, maintain and provide smooth network services to company’s clients in North American region remotely from Pakistan office. He joined Department of Electronic Engineering, Dawood University of Engineering & Technology as Lab Engineer in 2015. Other than assigned job responsibilities, he, as a certified trainer also successfully arranged and conducted “LabVIEW based software training” (a short technical course with hands on experience) for Technical Staff of Pakistan Air Force in 2016 and comes out as a good self-earning source for Department of Electronic Engineering. He is now pursuing his M.S in Electrical Engineering with specialisation in Communication Systems from National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST-PNEC). During his research work of M.S Thesis, one International Conference publication and One HEC recognised Journal publication also goes to his credit in terms of research papers.

Extensive experience in engineering and management, research and development, leadership and mentoring, and test and problem solving. My engineering forte is in electrical/electronic and embedded systems. Skilled at analyzing and solving complex problems. Also supervised many final year project among which some have contribute in International Exhibitions. Also, with the Industrial collaboration many projects have been completed.

He Started his Professional career in Pharmaceutical company as a trainee with the responsibility to maintain smooth operation in Management and Engineering side, and after that he joined Dawood University of Engineering and technology as a lab Engineer in the Department of Electronic Engineering in 2015. He attended many Faculty Development Programs Training at Dawood University of Engineering and technology.
