Due to rapid advancement in \r\ntechnological development, the applications that were only a fragment of our imagination some decades back, now pervade our daily lives. Since the \r\nindustrial revolution that started in the 18th century, we have perhaps achieved striking accomplishments, but sadly as a by-product nature has been \r\nrendered almost uninhabitable, and we have not yet fully succeeded in bridging the gaps between human beings. Global warming, another thorn in the side,\r\n has not yet gained the priority it deserves on our agenda. I daresay, we seem to be fast approaching the point of exterminating ourselves.<br><br>\r\nThis state of affairs has made engineers obligated to pursue and contribute to their fullest capabilities, to the global goal of stopping \r\nthe destruction of environment and enhancing mutual friendship and camaraderie among human beings when applying scientific knowledge to life.\r\n Moreover, innovation and creativity emerge as fundamental requirements of this new mode of engineering.<br><br>\r\nAt DUET, world-class faculty mentors the next generation of engineering and science leaders. As an emerging university, our strong research \r\nportfolio and successful adoption of the outcome based education paradigm sets us apart from the traditional mode of education prevalent elsewhere. \r\nOur students bring forward ideas with confidence in the classrooms and beyond. The engineering students, faculty, staff, and alumni are driven by innovation.\r\n They make technological contributions that shape society and build the foundation for a better future. In our education as well as research work, \r\nwe greatly value our leading position in industrial collaboration. DUET students gain hands-on industrial work experience in at least one \r\nfirm during their undergraduate studies. The modern industry is now the centre of a technologically sophisticated system. The technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution are blurring the lines between the physical, digital, and biological spheres of global production systems. Similarly, the field of telecommunication comprises a vast array of products involving hardware, software, and various related services.Because there are so many facets to this industry, there is also a need for a variety of careers in order to create, maintain, and service the products consumers crave to help them stay connected. Engineers of different specializations are highly employed within the field of telecommunication. Field engineers are responsible for installing customer equipment, while network engineers, electrical engineers, and systems engineers work on the technical end behind the scenes. Here we prepare our students to collectively deal with the entirety of this scenario.<br><br>\r\n\r\nPakistan is enriched with highly talented people, only needs a conducive, enabling & encouraging environment which may help them to exploit their talent mental faculties & utilize their energies & potential for socio-economic benefits & empowerment.<br><br>\r\nIn line with the vision of the University, the Faculty of ceet strives to produce professionals for providing leadership in their respective areas, at all levels of their involvements, namely, academics, research, and outreach.<br><br>\r\nIt is an absolute honour for me to serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Systems, Electronics, Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering (CEET). \r\n\r\n<br><br>I warmly welcome you all.<br><br>\r\n<b>Prof. Dr. Engr. The Faculty of Basic and Allied Sciences  aims at providing a comprehensive knowledge of basic scientific principles, mathematical and statistical tools and developing the personalities of their students in every sphere of life. <br><br>\r\n\r\nThe faculty contributes to all the core branches in enhancing the prime concepts through the Basic and Allied Sciences i.e.; Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English and Humanities and hence preparing the students ready to gain the fundamental knowledge of their core respective branches. We offer undergraduate (BS) degree program in each of the above disciplines. In addition, we offers research intensive programs leading to Master of Science\/Philosophy (MS\/M.Phil) degree in in Industrial Chemistry, giving talented and motivated students                        DEAN\r\nchance to make discoveries in chemical science and related disciplines. Our faculty members do foundational and deep disciplinary research, collaborate across many disciplines, take on problems that are important to the world today, and share a passion for innovation in both research and teaching.
